Colors in Component Editor?

#1 Post by steve65 » 19 Aug 2017, 08:33

The Component Editor provides lines, arcs, rectangles, filled rectangles, etc. for use in making a component. When placed in the design field, these items are blue in color. Is there a way to change their color?

Only globally for the drawing figure outline/solid fill, and this has to be set up in the Schematic Editor (View > Colors... > [Program Colors] tab > Part Graphics). You can add a separate "transparent" fill color (if the right color is selected) in the Schematic Editor, but it's a tedious job to do this for all of the desired components as you must replicate the component shape. A much better solution would be to give the Component Editor the ability to locally change outline colors and add different transparent fills for individual components so a lot of time doesn't have to be wasted creating fills in the Schematic Editor. Here is an older post with just such a request - http://www.diptrace.com/forum/viewtopic ... 93&p=18207.

Thanks Tom. I had searched a good bit for a way to change colors in Component Editor but no joy. I was fearful this would be the case :(
