Hi,

I just made a few pads to solder a few off circuit board wires to but it did not turn out
the way I like. When I tried to convert the schematic to a PCB the software connected
some of them together. I used: net ports -> port1 and then added a single (thru hole)
pad from the place a pad in the top toolbar for the footprint.

Is there a better way to do this?

Thanks
Dave

Consider the single pad as just a 1 pin connector/component and give it a Part Type of Normal in the Component Editor. Defining it as a net port will give it the behavior you're seeing.
