Is there an option somewhere to turn on the ability to see the shape size when it's selected/editing a shape? I inquired about this back in version 1.x and was told it was in the works?

Thanks,
Mike

See "Place dimension" tool between copper pour and table icons on elements panel. You can use it when shape already exists on layout.

That's a nice feature for annotation after you're done with the design, but it's really a kludge way of doing things when you are still designing. Not having the size automatically show up in the status just leaves you driving blind. This is a basic and essential feature that even low end PCB programs have.

When you create a shape, you can use grid to define shape size. Cursor coordinates are always shown on lower right side of window. Based on this information, you can define shape size as you want.

This is way is fine if you want to keep a calculator on hand all the time to keep calculating sizes and are looking for a way to kill some time. I must say I'm absolutely blown away by this.

We will consider what we can do. Anyway, shape sizes are not shown on fly.
