I found what I thought should do this in two places under the Route button one I think under manual and the other under auto route setup. I can't find anything about it in the user manual and it doesn't seem to be working. Please advise. I'm having difficulty connecting an SOIC package to a 1/4" wide B+ line without putting in a jumper. As a work around, I've just been putting a part between two nets and putting in a jumper. Not a clean solution. Please advise what I'm doing wrong.

If you connect wide trace to small pad in manual mode, program will automatically neck down the trace. Autorouter can't do that unfortunately.
Why do you need jumper ?
