I have been looking around for some 3d Models to be able to look at my board in 3d. What I am looking for are some 3d models for some of the connectors I use, which include:

1x6 Arduino Stack-able header
1x8 Arduino Stack-able header
2x3 Arduino Stack-able header (ISP)

In addition I have Servo headers on my board, which have the 2.54mm(.1") spacing and I use:
1x2 (used for jumpers/shunts)
1x3 - Power selection
1x4 - I separate the servo headers into groups of 4
2x4 - I have power/ground shown on same connector as easier to solder in 1 2x4 than 2 1x4...
Note: when I build the shields, I will probably simply purchase these connectors in bulk strips, like:
(http://search.digikey.com/us/en/product ... -ND/297913)

It would be great to have a few other components as well, like:
1x10 XBee connectors
4 screw connector block from phoenix contacts(277-1860-ND)
Switches (e-switch EG2510-ND)
Speaker (CUI 102-1155-ND)

I know that it is wishful thinking to find all of these, but it would be great to to get a lot of the standard connectors that are used on lots of different boards... Anyone know where I could locate some of these?

Thanks in advance
Kurt

Should there be separate forums here in which to collect lists of library parts wanted and, as in KurtEck's message, 3D models wanted?

Incidentally, I share his interest in getting 3D models of some of the Phoenix connectors, although my own use runs to the smaller ones (2.54-mm pitch; Digikey parts 277-1273-ND [2-pin], 277-1274-ND [3-pin], ..., 277-[1271+n]-ND [n-pin]). Another nice one to have would be the 2.1 mm power jack (Digikey CP-202AH-ND).

In general, I think the highest-priority 3D parts to add to the available stock should be those whose size determines the overall appearance of a board. Components whose 3D models are missing show up as flat outlines in the 3D view, but many SMD components don't look all that different when their 3D models are available. In contrast, connectors and similar macro-scale components are what make the 3D view worthwhile.

Users can request components and 3D models here: http://www.diptrace.com/libraries_req.php . I think separate forum isn't necessary.
