So in some components, like SMD transistors, MOSFETs, etc, the 'tab' pad is on the same circuit as one of the normal pads.

When I place one of these components onto schematic and then to PCB, there's a ratline between the two pads.

In a case like this, EITHER the lead pad or the tab pad can be connected for a complete circuit, and both MAY be.

Is there a way to tell the router this, so it does not create a bunch of unnecessary jumps, trying to connect BOTH pads up together?

I know I could edit the pattern, and take one pad out. However, in some cases it may be easier for the router to use one pad over the other (due to other traces in the way, etc.).
