Allegro ASCII import?

#1 Post by KevinA » 09 Sep 2017, 07:06

I'm working on a prototype for a MCIMX7D7DVM10SC iMX7D processor from FreeScale/NPX/??? but building a 541 BGA from scratch is, painful. I found the design layout of a development board with the bga on it and talked them into exporting it as ASCII but, it was with Allegro not Protel. Attached it the file, this is from release 16.

The good news is I found a BSDL file with the pin numbers/names and DipTrace created my component! Making the pattern was a 10 minute job but the component, not so much. With the new component I created with the BSDL import it is a lot closer to being done, I'm still trying to locate the alternate pin map from NPX.
