Grid (mac) blurred and not nice

#1 Post by mwabrown » 02 Apr 2016, 01:57

Hi - any idea why the grid view in Schematic is so blurred on the mac version (2.4.0.2)? See attached screen shot. XQuartz is up to date and OS is 10.10.5. Its not nice to use. Maybe this is sorted in version 3?

Thanks

Matthew

We have verified the issue in version 2.4 and 3.0 and there is no blurred grid there. But we saw it in the past when we run Mac version of DipTrace on virtual machine.

Did you install Wine on you machine before installing DipTrace? If so, could you open Wine properties and make sure display resolution is correct there.

How about text and other objects outside design area? Do they look sharp?

Hi - thanks for the reply. I cant remember when i installed Wine (or is it part of the mac installation package?) but it is certainly running when Diptrace runs. I cant see anywhere to look at or adjust preferences in Wine though. Is this done while Diptrace is running? For what its worth, i had no issues before i updated to 2.4.

Thanks for the help

Please try to do the following:
1. Remove Wine: Applications -> move Wine to Trash
2. Delete Wine prefixes of both versions 2.4 and 3.0 (you can use Double Commander for example): folders /Users/macuserdip/Library/Application Support/DipTrace and /Users/macuserdip/Library/Application Support/DipTrace_xxx.
3. Remove DipTrace program from Applications to Trash;
4. Install whatever DipTrace version you want (2.4 or 3.0).

Thanks - i have some questions and thoughts though:

Wine does not appear in Applications - in fact i cant see it anywhere in a Finder search

Not sure what Double Commander is or where Wine prefixes might be. The paths mentioned dont relate on my machine - Diptrace just appears in Applications.

Do i need to request a registration after reinstall? I have various projects going on and cant afford too much down time

Sorry if i'm being slightly dense - i'm not much of a computer hero.... :D

What about restore the line display? As it was there in older version.
