Any news on when the Win8 version will work?

We have investigated that today and seems it doesn't work on Windows 8 - 64 bit, on Win 8 - 32 bit it works without issues. Today our testers also install Win 8 - 64 bit and we will investigate why it doesn't work tomorrow.

Windows 8 - 64 bit problem has been solved. Download is not available yet, but I suppose we will add a bit more things and publish another update of beta.

Currnt cost of update Non-Profit Standard from 1.x to 2.x is $31. Also notice upcoming version will be 2.3 and upgrade is free.

Any chance of getting a working build posted right away, instead of waiting to add a few more things? I could really use one.

Thanks

I recently installed the latest beta and most things are working great.

I have run into one thing that keeps repeating...

If I have a schematic open and my machine suspends, when the machine is unsuspended, the program pops up a dialog:
"Printer can not be found"
Plus the Color scheme changes to the White background scheme, plus the page formatting changes...

So far I can undo it by canceling the dialog, typing ^z to undo the last command, plus go up to View/Color dialog and choose the black background scheme.

This only started happening after I installed this beta...

Running Windows 7 Ultimate (64) bit (Service Pack 1) on Dell XPS 8300 (intel I7)
NVidea GeForce GT 530 display card
Program running in Windows GDI mode.

We have published 2.2.9.2 beta today. You can download it from http://www.diptrace.com/downloads/dipfree_beta.exe

Changes if compare to 2.2.9.1:
1. Winodws 8 - 64 bit compatibility.
2. VRML export has been polished a bit (unit selection added and bugs on some boards has been removed).
3. Ordering engine has been added (see File/Order PCB).
4. Online check for new versions and DipTrace news (you will receive new version alert directly in Schematic/PCB Layout program within 3 days while we publish 2.3, it checks update.diptrace.com web-site every 3 days for the news).
5. Number of bugs has been found and fixed.

KurtEck please try if the bug in previous message has been fixed or not. We have tried to change things which may cause it, but we can not reproduce it.

This is pre-release version - no features/changes will be added, just polishing and bug-fixes. Release of 2.3 is planned on October 19.

Appears to have fixed it.

Thanks
