Hi,

I've created my first pcb with DipTrace, so far so good. But I can't seem to figure out how to change the label for the solder pads on the board. They are labeled 'U1,U2.. U6'. In the schematic I have given them the values that I want and changed the marking from 'refdes' to 'value'. On the board it still shows U1 etc.

Its probably some silly mistake but after a couple of hours fighting I decided to call for help.

Thanks!

If I understand your question correctly, you can hover over the component pin in the schematic, then right-click and change the component pin name and save. If you now update the pcb from the schematic, you should see the change.
Can I suggest that you move the refdes to the outside of the pattern. It makes it a lot easier for fault finding if the refdes is not covered by the component.

Regards
John
