I have been using DIP Trace for about 3 mo.s.1, everything worked fine. However now if I open a schematic and try to convert to PCB CTRL +B nothing happens. I have re installed NOVARM Dip Trace after removing it from the registry and my computer. Still doesn't work. I know I am missing something like a setting or something. Just not sure what. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in Advance. Chuck

You could create an hierarchical schematic with one or more hierarchical block definitions but never use the blocks on main (non-hierarchical) sheets. If main sheet doesn't have any component then you will get blank layout after conversion schematic to PCB. Therefore please check sheet type using "Edit -> Sheet Type" and if you have hierarchical blocks you should either use blocks on main sheets or change sheet type to normal.
You can also send your schematic to support at diptrace dot com and I will check it.

All files including the example supplied by Diptrace all have the same issue. When I open schematics I can select any file same thing happens no conversion. When I go to the [Edit] [Sheet Type] it is always grayed out, no matter the file I try. I am using windows 7 SP1. Thanks Chuck

Hi Chuck,

If hot key doesn't work, try "File -> Convert to PCB" from main menu. Also you can open a schematic file in PCB Layout and it will do the same job.
