Hi all
I'm looking for DIN 41612 connector (16/32/64).
If someone know where I can find this part in a DIPTRACE library.
Thanks by advance.

Looking for DIN 41612 connectors
Re: Looking for DIN 41612 connectors
I suppose you have not received an answer to your Q.
As I am new here I will take a bit of time to learn the program and than will design the connectors and the IEC-3/3 board. If you have allready done so please share and spare me the time. Cheers, E

how to become a model
DIN 41612 is a DIN standard for electrical connectors that are widely used in rack based electrical systems. Standardisation of the connectors is a pre-requisite for open systems, where users expect components from different suppliers to operate together. The mostly widely known use of DIN 41612 connectors is in the VMEbus system. They were also used by NuBus. The standard has subsequently been upgraded to international standards IEC 60603-2 and EN 60603-2.
FCI DIN 41612 Connectors are available at Mouser Electronics. Mouser offers inventory, pricing, datasheets & more on FCI DIN 41612 Connectors.

Re: Looking for DIN 41612 connectors
Reviving this thread a bit...
It's easy to find the DIN 41612 connectors (Molex, AMP, AVX, FCI and 3M all have C96ABC right-angle connectors which are available at Mouser or Digikey), but I can't seem to determine if the DipTrace components/patterns have these connectors. I've tried searching for the part numbers, and I also looked in the Pattern Editor, but I'm not coming up with anything.
Does a library exist for these connectors? Googling isn't much help either.
Thanks!
Rich

Re: Looking for DIN 41612 connectors
I have a few PCB footprints & components for 32,24,64 & 96 way DIN41612 connectors. Don't know what the best way to share them is though?

Re: Looking for DIN 41612 connectors
Great! I'm not sure but I think you can copy them to their own component and footprint libraries, ZIP the new libraries and then post them to the forum as a message attachment.
Re: Looking for DIN 41612 connectors
Now I'm back at work I can attach the libs. Give them a go and tell me what you think.
Even though I created components and footprints for 32, 48, 64 & 96 way, I've only used the 48 & 64 way footprints on a board. The pads are a 39mil (1mm) hole with 64mil (1.5mm) overall diameter. The footprints are placed such that the component origin should align with the bottom right-hand corner of the board.

Thanks very much! I will give them a look and let you know if there are any problems.jd_edmond wrote:Now I'm back at work I can attach the libs. Give them a go and tell me what you think.

Re: Looking for DIN 41612 connectors
Hi jd_edmond, would it be possible to get a copy of your board just to be sure that the connector ends upp at the right place? I only need the board outline and the connector of course, not your entire design Thanx!
