TFP-09-2-12B microSD socket footprint?

#1 Post by Enkitec » 30 Aug 2016, 03:30

Hi,

I'm looking for the TFP-09-2-12B microSD socket footprint.

Have found one for Altium, but can't import it to Diptrace:

https://github.com/Martovskij/Altium_Da ... 12B.PcbLib

Thanks.

I've attached a custom DipTrace pattern library named "microSD.lib" which contains one pattern named "TFP-09-2-12B". The pattern was created using the datasheet found here - http://us.100y.com.tw/viewproduct.asp?MNo=104554. I tried my best to get everything right, but to be safe, double-check all dimensions against the datasheet anyway. I cannot guarantee a proper fit or fire resistance...

*** EDIT ***

I have just discovered a very small vertical offset with the pattern. I mistakenly took the center of pin 3 for the origin of the official drawing. The actual origin is 0.05 mm below that. Very difficult to see in the manufacturer's PDF without zooming way in, but I believe this now explains the confusing (to me) "2.25 mm" dimension referenced to pin 1. I have corrected the mistake and have changed the attached library to match. Sorry about the error.

*** EDIT ***

I have changed the pattern one more time to better reflect the card center by moving the bottom mounting hole down 0.02mm. This will match the mechanical drawing on the left side of the datasheet instead of the footprint drawing on the right side of the datasheet. This will not create any real-world problems if you are already using the last pattern because the difference between the two is so small. It's strange that the datasheet conflicts with itself.

I have found two datasheet of this same socket.
The drawings are different on both.

Thank you for your kindness!
